Work in small groups or with peer buddies. Assign Wei a buddy who can model positive behaviours inside and outside the classroom. Behaviours may include returning to class on time and helping stay on time during lessons.
Create a predictable environment. Use a clock/timer and a visual schedule to remind Wei of time passing and the time allocated to lessons.
Work collaboratively to help establish routines and develop good work habits. Collaborate with Wei’s parents to find out what works at home and whether this can be used at school. Track his progress through a home/school communication book.
